Ballet Classes for Beginners to Advance (Ages Five to Eighteen)

Ballet includes stretch and strengthening exercises starting at the barre, followed by center and across the floor. Dancers will learn positions, terminology and listen to classical music. Ballet is the core of dance and all our Ballet Classes progress and move to the most Advanced Level a dancer is able to achieve. We offer various class levels for ages 5 years old to 17 years old.
Pre Pointe / Pointe (ages 11 and up)

All students who take pointe must be in ballet in a Junior or Senior Level Ballet class and have an instructor’s permission…This is advanced and requires pointe shoes. Dancers will learn position and terminology for an advanced ballet dancer.
Private Ballet Instruction and Learning of Variations is available for serious dancers.
Lyrical Dance (Age Seven and up)

Strongly influenced by ballet and jazz; lyrical dance uses the entire body to extend body lines. Lyrical has flowing quality and emphasizes dynamics.

Children’s Tap Dance (Ages Five to Eighteen)

Tap Dancing is the only type of dance that is native to America.
It trains students in developing rhythm and coordination as well as teaching them to think and react spontaneously.
In each class we will warm up by stretching, and strengthen for tap dance, make sounds with our tap shoes and listen to popular music. All tap dancers follow a grade syllabus by our beloved Pied Piper of Tap Dance Mr. Al Gilbert. My tap syllabus starts from age five to adult tap dancing.
Kids Jazz Dance (Ages Five to Eighteen)

Jazz dance is a modern interpretation of Ballet.
Each class will include stretch and strengthening exercises for Jazz dance, dancers will learn terminology as well as listen to Latin, lyrical, traditional and hip hop music. Dancers in our Jazz classes learn multiple stretches, turns and leaps from beginning to the advanced level!
Preschool Ballet/Tap (Age Three to Four Years Old)

My Preschool Program is specially designed to provide children between 3 and 4 years of age with a strong foundation in dance and movement.
I teach the young dancer the basic elements of movement and dance; space and how to relate to it, both as an individual and as a member of a group.
Also, in preschool dance I teach the eight basic loco-motor movements; musical rhythm, beat and time; opposites and directions; and some elementary positions of ballet and Tap.
